Privacy Policy
Privacy policy — MyMory
Effective October 21, 2026.
1. Who we are
MyMory is an Android app published by EklipticSoft. For any question about this policy or your data, write to us at: mymory@eklipticsoft.com
2. In short
- MyMory has no account of its own and no server. Your lists, games and stats stay on your phone: we have no access to them.
- The app connects to the Internet only for Google services: ads (Google AdMob) and, if you use them, Google Play Games (your achievements) and the "No ads" subscription (Google Play). The data Google may then collect is described in sections 5 to 8.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, your consent is asked before any personalized ads, and you can change your mind at any time in the app's Settings.
- With the "No ads" subscription, MyMory shows no ads and does not start Google's ad service.
- We do not sell any data.
3. Data that stays on your phone
MyMory stores only on your phone:
- your lists and their content (including the default lists you edited), and your groups;
- your games and practice sessions: date, level, duration, answers given, score;
- the statistics calculated from these games;
- your settings: sorting, favorites, open or closed groups, time chosen for the Custom level;
- if you subscribe, the fact that your subscription is active, so you can play without ads even offline.
When you import a file (CSV or Excel), it is read on your phone to create the list; it is not sent anywhere. The template file you can download is simply saved in your phone's Downloads folder.
None of this data is sent to EklipticSoft or to anyone else.
4. Android backup
If backup is turned on on your phone, Android may back up MyMory's data to your Google account and restore it on a new phone. This backup is made and managed by Google, according to your Android settings; we have no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone's settings.
5. Ads (Google AdMob)
Without a subscription, MyMory shows a full-screen ad after some games or practice sessions, never during a game. These ads are provided by Google AdMob, and their content is limited to a general, family audience.
To show these ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- your phone's advertising ID;
- your IP address, from which an approximate location can be inferred;
- technical information about the device: model, Android version, language;
- your interactions with ads (views, clicks) and diagnostic data.
With your consent, this data may be used to show you personalized ads; without it, Google shows non-personalized ads. This data is processed by Google, under its own rules:
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (under Google, then Ads, or Privacy, then Ads, depending on the version).
6. Consent
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, MyMory shows Google's consent form on first launch, before any ad. You can accept or refuse the use of your data there, and change your mind at any time in MyMory: Settings, then "Privacy choices". With the "No ads" subscription, this form is not shown, since no ads are.
7. Google Play Games (achievements)
MyMory offers achievements with Google Play Games: for example, a first perfect game or an unlocked level. If Google Play Games is installed on your phone, MyMory may sign you in at launch, like most games. Without Google Play Games, or if you decline, the app works normally, without achievements.
When you are signed in:
- your achievements and their progress are saved by Google, on your Google Play Games profile;
- Google processes your profile data (player ID, gamer name, avatar) under its privacy policy, listed in section 5;
- you choose in Google Play Games settings who can see your profile and achievements, and you can delete your game data there.
MyMory does not store your Google Play Games profile or pass it on to anyone. In the tools Google provides to developers, we may see overall statistics about achievements (for example the share of players who unlocked one), which cannot identify you.
8. "No ads" subscription (Google Play)
MyMory offers an optional subscription that removes ads. Purchase, payment, renewal and cancellation go entirely through Google Play, under its terms:
- your payment information (card, account) is processed by Google; we never have access to it;
- Google gives us the information needed to manage purchases, for example the order number, product, date, country and amount;
- MyMory asks Google Play whether your subscription is active, and keeps the answer on your phone (section 3).
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in the Play Store, under Payments & subscriptions, or in MyMory: Settings, then "No ads".
9. Sharing
When you share MyMory or a result, Android lets you choose the app that sends it (messaging, social network…). The shared content (a text, the app's link, the image of your result) is created on your phone and only sent to the app you choose; it does not go through us.
10. App permissions
- Internet and network state: for ads, Google Play Games and the subscription.
- Advertising ID and Android ad services: used by Google's ad service, according to your choices.
- Google Play billing: for the "No ads" subscription.
- A few technical permissions added by these Google libraries so they work properly.
MyMory does not access your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
11. What we don't do
- We do not ask for your name, email address or any information to use the app.
- We use no analytics or tracking tool other than the Google services described above.
- We do not sell, rent or share any data.
12. Children
MyMory is not specifically designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
13. Retention and deletion
MyMory's data stays on your phone until you delete it. You can delete a list in the app, or erase everything by clearing MyMory's data in Android's settings or by uninstalling the app.
Data collected by Google (ads, Google Play Games, purchases) is kept according to Google's rules. Your achievements stay on your Google Play Games profile until you delete them. Purchase information is kept by Google, and by us where the law requires it (accounting and tax obligations).
14. Your rights
Depending on the law of your country (including the GDPR in Europe), you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Since we hold almost no data about you, these requests mostly concern data processed by Google: you can make them to Google, or write to us and we will help. You can also contact the data protection authority of your country.
15. Security
Your data is stored in the app's private storage on your phone, which other apps cannot read. Exchanges with Google's servers are encrypted.
16. Changes
This policy may be updated, for example if a future version of MyMory adds a feature that processes data. The new version will be published on this page, with its effective date.
